Today, as I walked back from a very pleasant afternoon at the British Library’s exhibit “Terror and Wonder: The Gothic Imagination”, I stumbled upon my new favorite spot in London. The Grant Museum of Zoology is tucked away in the corner of one of UCL’s row buildings on Gower Street and, aside from its trendy central study space, is a step back in time. Visitors are greeted by a “Jar of Moles” and continue past antique wooden cases filled with skeletons, taxidermy, preserved specimens, and antique microscope slides. You could probably spend hours in this place and I most certainly will.
Brilliant! Please tell us more about the museum as you delve deeper into its secrets. You’ve also piqued our curiosity: what about the Gothic Imagination exhibit?
